Spell Check Anywhere in Salesforce
Aug 1, 2005Many customers have asked about
spell check tools for long text fields such as call notes or descriptions.
Ed Tcheleshev, a Customer Success
Manager in New York came up with a great solution utilizing the new google toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com.)
It’s free to install and will provide spell checking anywhere you edit text in salesforce. Give it a try.

Sounds great but it doesn't seem to install correctly with firefox. Any special instructions?

Hello Andres- I had the problem that it did not recognize the file when trying to install. I found the resolution on Google's help: http://www.google.com/support/toolbar/bin/topic.py?topic=923.
Hope this helps.

I have put this up as a salesforce company message on the homepage and recommended everyone to install it. Thanks for the great tip.

Sorry a few more comments:
- It works with firefox. If you have firefox open and go to this URL, it will pass you to the firefox version to install.
- The main sell I have here was lately a lot of feedback from managers was that there are too many grammar / spelling erros with activity updates. By installing toolbar, these errors should go down.
