Have a Question? IM Your Admin.

SalesforceWatch
posted a great best practice idea on embedding a web-based IM client into your Salesforce
sidebar.
This is a fantastic way to improve adoption, especially when you first
roll out the application. If one of your users has a question, they can see if
their administrator is online and send them a quick IM.
Meebo is a free service that allows you to connect with AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, GTalk, MSN and manage everything from one buddy list. For full instructions, read the post on SalesforceWatch.

Cool! I've added a meebo chat to the sidebar :)

Is there any way to have this under other tabs than the home tab ? Otherwise a very nice addon. Thanks for the tip !

No, there isn't but that would be sweet.

If you have to have an account with Meebo, and you have to be logged into Meebo to be seen "online", then it doesn't really monitor if you are logged into your other chat clients (like yahoo or MSN), right?

Anon: No it doesn't, unless you've configured it to sign you into those messengers as well.
