What’s Next for the Google-Salesforce Alliance?

Jamie Grenney Jun 6, 2007

We want to find out from our community where you think we should focus our efforts. Post your idea to the IdeaExchange under the new Google category. You'll see there are already lots of great ideas being discussed like integration with Gmail and Google Calendar.

We're also seeing new Apps pop up on the AppExchange like the Google Gadgets from Appiro. This was an idea that was posted on the IdeaExchange this March and it's already been developed.

Help shape the future of on-demand!

I am still on my 30 day trial period with Salesforce and also with SageCRM.com Being a user of Gmail, GCal and Google Docs, this new Alliance will definitelly make me stay with Salesforce!

Don't know how it's going to work out for us

Ditto on gmail, but allow us to associate emails with cases for support usage, not just Account/Contact/Opportunity.

Hey, thanks for looking after your UK customers with the 'free' adword credit - not!

Thanks for the feedback Ian. At this time, we are only able to offer USD $50 AdWords coupons to new AdWords advertisers in the US, Canada, and Mexico. We are working with Google to identify additional geographies where a similar new advertiser promotion might be offered.

need to have the complete line of google apps within google. Most importantly google mail.

I think you should be able to link in; landing pages (google analytics) >> data capture forms (SF + Google) >> Leads (SF + Google) Opportunities (SF + Google) Campaigns (SF + Google) >> Reporting Web/Sales Personnel Selling (SF + Google) and bake into a single flow.

And I would also like fries with that!

Key for us at Esendex is the tracking of PPC (and soon PPA) activity through to Leads and ultimately Closed and Won Opportunities

To date we have had to create specific variables within our URLs and then post these through (we dont use Web to Lead as we need to update our internal database as well as Salesforce)

If Analytics Code can pass this type of info back up, it must be possible to persist it through into Salesforce
