    Jamie Grenney Jun 30, 2009

YouTube has a slick tool called Hot Spots that lets you track the ups-and-downs at each moment in your video compared to videos of similar length. The higher the graph, the hotter the video, and for some reason this one is off the chart. Check it out

Salesforce CRM Mobile has been updated to take full advantage of the new iPhone 3.0 OS. This means that customers can use the industry's leading enterprise cloud computing applications and platform to take advantage of exciting new features including:

    • Cut, copy and paste - Quickly and easily cut, copy, and paste text from emails and text messages directly into Salesforce CRM. Select entire blocks of text with a tap.
    • Clone Records - Thumb-saving clone button lets users easily create identical records and save a bunch of typing.
    • Calendar-like Events - Manage events with ease with a new date-indexed view and a calendar-like interface.
    • Custom Filters - Quickly find information with custom filters on any list of data.
    • Convert Lead - Convert a lead as soon as the user hangs up the phone. The iPhone now offers lead conversion on a single form.
    • Visualforce mobile custom linking - Create custom mobile links on any object in Salesforce CRM: link from an Account directly to a Yahoo! news site with the latest news about a company, or link to a custom Visualforce page to show all related contacts and their images.

  • 4 Steps to Deciding if Territory Management is Right for You

    Sylvia Lehnen Jun 17, 2009

No, Territory Management has nothing to do with managing the Pacific Northwest - or anywhere else. Instead, you can use this feature to organize and share data beyond the traditional role hierarchy to include accounts, opportunities, and cases, based on any record characteristics you define. As a result, you can also start forecasting in a whole new way.

Territory Managment is available to customers with Salesforce CRM Enterprise or Unlimited Edition. It's a very powerful feature that cannot be disabled once it is turned on. For that reason, it's critical that you carefully consider whether this feature is right for your org. This best-practice document will help you decide.

Check back frequently for new best practices from salesforce.com. We'll have something for everyone -administrators, sales users, and general business users.

  • See salesforce.com in a whole new way!

    Gordon Evans Jun 14, 2009

If you were at Dreamforce last year, you remember the excitement when Force.com Sites was demoed for the first time. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Force.com Sites is generally available.

A revolutionary new capability of the Force.com platform, Force.com Sites allows you to run your Web site and Web applications in our cloud. No hardware. No software. No infrastructure required. Just your Sites and our Cloud.

Over the last few months, 85 companies had access to the Force.com Sites customer preview. The sites and apps they built had 38 million page views and served more than 5 terabytes of data.

We saw some amazing Web sites and apps built on Force.com Sites in the preview program. Customers and partners built sites for e-commerce, recruiting, ticketing and scheduling, social networking, community management and much more.

Many of them are already live, like this Crocs Ideas Site,

    Crocs Ideas

    Starbuck's Pledge 5 campaign, and

    Starbucks Pledge 5 Campaign

    Dell's Social Innovation Competition site.

You can check out a showcase of sites created in the customer preview at http://www.force.com/sites.

And, here's a video that shows how to get started.  What kind of site are you going to build?
