Salesforce Features
Contract Management
Salesforce's contract management capabilities seamlessly integrate
back-office financial functionality into your front office. As a
result, your organization is able to effectively manage the entire
customer lifecycle - from a contract's approval through its renewal -
to enhance profits.
This feature is available in professional and enterprise editions.
- Contract Repository: Extend your customer view into the back office with a centralized online contract repository. Improve tracking and management of key deal data, including contract terms, value, conditions, signatures, and so on.
- Approval Management: Automate the contract approval process to save time and respond to customers more quickly. Use security controls to ensure the right people have access to the appropriate customer contracts.
- Renewal Management: Track contract expiration dates and initiate the contract renewal process with automatic notifications.
You can also find details on the salesforce.com Contract Management product feature page.

Apttus is a very functionaly rich contract management system - you should look at it if you need contract capability. Many companies who were using salesfroce contract management capability have swapped out to Apttus.
It has unique features that complete the entire process. It is built natively on top of Salesforce which means as a saleforce user it is seamless - you dont go to another data center or push out to other functionality.
If your company is considering a contract management initiative for any type of contract management (buyside, sellside), Apttus is superior to any of the contract management systems available today.
Apttus is a very high profile company in silicon valley right now - high growth, profitable and seasoned people.

Hi folks. I have also seen some of the other major CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) solution providers achieve success with Salesforce and other CRM applications. Firms like Upside Software, Nextance, Imany, Emptoris. Upside Software stood out in a recent Aberdeen Group Market Alert, as winning 8 out of 10 deals, so certainly worth consideration. Also Aberdeen Group recently released a research report covering Sales Contracts and the "Quote-to-Cash-Cycle" - check it out at Aberdeen Group website - www.aberdeen.com

Hello..I currently use the Contracts tab for our maintenance contracts.
At the moment, I have having security issues with it. I would like the sales team to see all accounts in the organization however I don't want them to be able to see contracts. But since the two go hand in hand, I can not separtate them. Does anyone have any solutions for this?
