Salesforce Features
Dependent Picklists
To accommodate business growth and complexity, picklists sometimes
expand to contain hundreds of values, making it difficult for users to
find the right selection with efficiency. With Winter ’06,
administrators can define dependency rules that filter the values that
are displayed in one picklist based on the user’s selection in another
picklist (such as opportunity stage, case status, or other important
criteria). This simple but powerful capability makes Salesforce more
user-friendly and interactive. Users can be effortlessly guided to the
right set of data for the situation at hand. This translates into
improved data quality and more accurate operational visibility for
management.
This feature is available across all editions.
