Spring ’07 brings a wealth of enhancements to the Apex Mobile service. New devices have been tested and certified as “Apex Mobile ready.” The mobile administration console and RIM BlackBerry clients have been improved to deliver greater reliability and performance. The Palm Treo and Windows Mobile clients have been enhanced to provide a better user experience; and the deployment process has been simplified with the packaging of sample profiles.
This feature is
available in Professional, Enterprise and Unlimited Editions.
These enhancements are enabled by default for Apex Mobile customers.

- RIM BlackBerry: Improvements to the BlackBerry client include predictable installation and activation, significantly improved run-time performance, and extended device battery life.
- Windows Mobile: Windows Mobile enhancements with Winter ’07 include the availability of local search and automated lookup with long list views.
- Palm Treo: With Spring ’07, the Palm Treo client features a new user interface, icons and tabs for a improved user experience; an intuitive, tab-based navigation paradigm; remote search results that are easier to retrieve, and support for the Treo 680.
- Mobile Administration Console: Improvements to the mobile administration console include improved reliability of the application server and predefined sample profiles to provide administrators with working examples of SOQL and macro language extensions.
