• Scheduled Email Delivery: Want a mass email to go out at the crack of dawn? You can make it happen without setting your alarm with Summer ’07. You can select the date, time, and time zone of your mass email so that your message can go out at the precise time you want without requiring your involvement at send time.

• Tracking and Monitoring: Managing mass emails has never been easier. With Summer ’07, you can see your scheduled and completed mass emails, cancel scheduled emails, and see which email templates you’ve used—all in one spot.

• Higher Number of Mass Emails (Enterprise and Unlimited Editions Only): Based on customer demand, Salesforce has increased the number of emails that can be sent with each mass mailing. Enterprise Edition customers can send 500 emails per mass mailing, while Unlimited Edition customers can send 1,000 emails per mass mailing.

"Advanced Mass Email" feature due to come out in the Summer 07 Release: will it allow us to use it to automatically send out predetermined emails as the lead is assigned throughout the sales workflow? For example:1) once you assign the lead from Joe to John can we schedule an automatic email-without having to manaully do it- to go out to the client that alerts them that now John not Joe is working on your Quote and if you need to call us ask for John? 2) Can we also setup the email module to pull from designated area's and send out scheduled emails,for example a "que" area that if leads stay in the system or in a specific persons que for a designated amount of time (ala 4-8 hours) that we can schedule a predetermined email to go out and alert the client of a status update so that they stay informed along the process? I greatly look forward to your response. We are presently in proposal state with Sales Force and your upcoming email funct. is a needed function in order to place the order. I need an answer ASAP.Thanks Again.Raymond

Need ability to create email blast lists using not only Contact fields, but also Account fields. Example, send to Contacts in xyz Industry.

We're really keen to be able to send automated emails at specific points in a leads lifetime - on creation (we post in via the API), after 3days etc. Will this help at all?

Is there a way to send more than 500 emails at once? I'm currently using Vertical Response to send mass email - I wonder if this could be a replacement?

I'm with Matthew (post 7/5/07) Has the company limit been increased? Also, will there be a reporting feature that summarizes how many emails were viewed, how many links were opened, and how many email addresses were valid?

Will this functionality eventually be available for individual emails. I.e. I have a rep that would like to send out a series of 4-5 emails once the opportunity is created as follow ups. Can this be done with this enhancement or will we need something else?

C'mon 5oo emails for enterprise edition what about professional edition users are we forgotten about? the limit of 250 is just not enough, surely you can do better than this?

Will we be able to set emails to go based on time from a specific event/trigger, i.e. send template A 24 hours after the lead is created, template B after one week, etc.? Is there a way to integrate this with workflow?

To send emails based on events/triggers time-based workflow is the best solution.

For example: send a notification email based of a template 2 days after a lead is create and the status equals open

How can I mass email contacts from a report?

If you have campaigns enabled, you can use reports to build lists as follows:
1. Build a report.
2. Add contacts to a campaign and add a campaign status.
3. Build a contact mass email list view based of the campaign and campaign status.

Templates are used for the content in mass emails.

You can create text templates, HTML templates using letterheads or custom templates.

I'm with many of the others above. It'd be great to increase the daily limit of 1,000.

The increase to 500 or 1000 per mailing in Enterprise and Unlimited is useless without being able to increase the total that can be sent.

Would like to have more than 1 automated email to be sent out when we have web o lead. Also depending on the purpose of the lead then this will determine the email response. We need more than 1 email to be sen out!!!
