To the frustration of the marketing team, new opportunities are sometimes created without properly crediting a contributing marketing campaign. Spring ’08 helps ensure that campaign effectiveness is more accurately tracked. When an opportunity is created from a contact, the campaign source is automatically populated with the campaign that last touched that contact. This new functionality gives marketers even greater insight into how their campaigns are impacting pipeline and contributing to sales.
Note: This feature is enabled by default. Professional Edition customers must have purchased campaigns separately to use this feature.
