Tasks and calendar events give managers and employees the power and flexibility to track and maintain their schedules using Salesforce. Drag-and-drop calendars and activity management, new in the Spring ’08 release, allow users to more quickly reschedule a meeting and perform other actions via a new streamlined, time-saving user interface.
- Drag-and-Drop Events: Users can quickly reschedule events by dragging them to a new time or day within the single-user day/week view.
- Navigation Improvements: Users can toggle between day, week, and event detail views as well as scroll horizontally to view additional dates.
- Email Notification for Tasks: Some users may always want to send an email when assigning tasks. A new “Send Email Notification” checkbox allows users to quickly specify that a task assignee should receive an email for a new task assignment.
Note: Not automatically visible. Feature is enabled but requires some setup.
