- Forecast revenue and perform analysis based on your territory structure
Territory management just got easier for sales managers. Offline Edition 2.0
Since its introduction, Salesforce users have relied on Offline Edition
to manage their customer data when working without Internet
connectivity. Offline Edition 2.0 expands this capability by allowing
users to capture and manage leads in the field. Offline Edition 2.0
also leverages custom objects with support for master-detail custom
related lists offline. It also facilitates user adoption by automating
the onerous task of conflict resolution. Finally, the new architecture
of Offline Edition allows users to carry more data with them and
ensures that the information will be safe in the event that an
unauthorized user gains access to the computer.
This feature is included in enterprise editions and unlimited edition. It is as an avaliable upgrade in professional edition.
AppExchange API 7.0
With the Winter ’06 release, salesforce.com is upgrading the
AppExchange API (previously known as the Sforce Web services API). As
always, considerable effort has been made to ensure backward
compatibility for applications that have been written against previous
versions of the SOAP API, starting with API 2.5. (Note: older XML-RPC
APIs should remain unchanged with this release.) The new AppExchange
API 7.0 provides a number of powerful enhancements that further improve
any integration already in place between Salesforce and your other
systems.
This feature is available in Enterprise and Unlimited Edition.
Record Types on Custom Objects
Your custom apps can be even more powerful and relevant with the addition of record types to custom objects. With Winter ’06, administrators can differentiate page layouts and picklist values by record type on custom objects, just like standard objects. The addition of this popular feature to custom objects allows administrators at complex enterprises with multiple products, processes, and business scenarios to tailor the Salesforce experience for different user groups so that they can work more productively and effectively.
This feature is available in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions.
