  • Insurance Agency Shares Their Success Story with Salesforce CRM

    Elay Cohen Apr 18, 2009

I recently read a reivew written by Roper DeGarmo, the founder and presidentAgencyreport of a little specialty agency based in Kansas City called Signature Personal Insurance. His niche focus is high-end personal lines, which is defined as an account with at least one home that has an insured value of $2 million. They acquire and service these these clients almost exclusively via e-mail and phone. With this business model and a client base that is located literally coast to coast, technology and efficiency are both keys to our long-term success.  You can access the full article by clicking here.

Roper shares his views why salesforce CRM is a great tool for agency management.  After looking at many competitive solutions, salesforce CRM proved to be the best solutions for the following reasons:

    1.  100% web based

    2.  Easy customization

    3.  Much less expensive

My take after reading Roper's opinion is that salesforce CRM gives his "small shop" agency a cutting edge platform that might have only been made available to large agencies.   Salesforce CRM gives agencies the ability to: manage contacts, keep track of clients, reporting, client mailings, track to-dos all through a web browser or via a mobile device.

  • Keep Your Top Brokers and Recruit New Ones

    Elay Cohen Oct 27, 2008

Nyt In times like these, it seems that everyday I'm reading about another bank merger or bank meltdown. Not good. On Saturday October 27th 2008, in the New York Times business section is an article entitled "The Broker Rebellion." The article talks about the exodus of brokers from big institutions and the decision to go independent.

“Brokers are walking out the door,” said Brad Hintz, an analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein & Company.

Now more than ever, it's critical to have broker recruitment and retention programs. We'll help financial services providers collect broker registrations and then manage the approval of these applications. Then, a portal can be created to manage the on-boarding and training of these brokers. For more detail check out this link.

Here is a summary of the benefits of using salesforce to drive recruitment and retention of brokers:

    • Attract: Firms deploying SFDC in their wealth divisions are more attractive to advisors. Not only are we the Best CRM in Capital Markets, but firms like Bank of America are deploying us to their advisors as part of bringing their advisors up to par with their acquisition of Merrill Lynch-
    • Recruit: We enhance the advisor recruiting process for wealth management firms. Why try to get another 10K client, when you can recruit a whole advisor team with a $500M book of business?
    • Retain : You have to be good on both sides of the equation. Recruiting and RETAINING. Using Salesforce Ideas to listen to your advisor teams and enabling you to build loyalty and make changes that have demonstrated value to your advisors.Let us know if you want to Trial your own broker recruitment program.
