- Person Accounts and Custom Boolean Fields - With Person Accounts enabled, the user could not create a regular Account when custom Boolean field was defined in the Contacts object. The latest version provides the expected behavior.

Visualforce Mobile Pages and Dashboards using Public MDS
- Due to a specific configuration of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, some customers received the following error: "Unable to authenticate. Please try again at a later time." This is not an error. It is due to a BES security policy that can be changed.
- The latest version of the client uses the Public MDS (BIS), if available, so that the device is able to properly connect to the Visualforce Mobile pages and Dashboards.
- The latest version also adds a menu item in the System Info page called Connection Settings. With that menu item, it is possible for the user to force a specific connection type for the browser (BIS, MDS or TCP) if it is available. The default setting is BIS.
- Administrators can restrict or disable BIS and TCP. If they have been restricted or disabled, the BES administrator must set a security policy in order to display correctly the pages. Set Support HTTP Authentication to False, and set Support HTTP Cookie Storage to False.
What are the fixes in BlackBerry v11.0.2?
- Fresh Installation on the Bold - Due to a BlackBerry operating system problem, an installation performed on a device running BlackBerry OS v4.5 and OS 4.6 did not start the communication layer. The result was that the application could not communicate with the server. The problem was easily solved by rebooting the device. Version 11.0.2 works around the BlackBerry OS problem. Note that the problem manifested only during a brand new installation, not during an upgrade.
- Dependent Required Fields on Creation - In situations where some values of a dependent picklist were deleted, the dependent picklist was not enforced during creation if it was set as required. The latest client fixes the problem.
- Upgraded Client Version in the Console - After the upgrade from version 11.0.0 to v11.0.1, the mobile administration console still displayed the client version as 11.0.0 for that device. Version 11.0.2 fixes this issue.
How do I get the new client for my Blackberry phone?
- For users on v10.0.0, upgrade by opening the System Info page and selecting Upgrade from the menu.
- All the users can download the new client by navigating to the following URL from a mobile device: http://mobile.salesforce.com/setup.
