Pierpaolo Bergamo Jun 1, 2009What are the fixes in iPhone v4.0.1?
Upgrades - This release fixes a bug some users were experiencing after upgrading to v4.0. Installing v4.0.1 will require you to re-activate (re-enter your user name and password). Note: Any pending saves or edits in Salesforce Mobile that haven’t been synced will be lost. If you are not sure, you can start a sync by opening Salesforce Mobile and waiting a minute or two. The sync will happen automatically if you have a network connection.

Salesforce CRM Mobile v4.0 for iPhone is now available for download!
Pierpaolo Bergamo Jun 1, 2009With Summer '09, the iPhone client iterates to v4.0 and provides a better user experience for finding events, viewing lists of records, accessing actions on detail pages. The v4.0 client is available now from the App Store on your iPhone or iPod touch.
What’s New in iPhone v4.0?
- List Views:
- Custom List Views: Custom filters created in the Mobile Admin Console are now available on the iPhone. Just tap on the list view name near the top of the list view, and select a different view.
- Event List Views: A date indexed view and a calendar-like interface allow you to quickly find the event of interest.
- Clone: Save your thumbs! With the new clone button you can quickly create identical records and save yourself a bunch of typing. Clone is available as a button at the top of most types of objects.
- Convert Lead: Accomplish more away from the office – convert a lead as soon as you hang up the phone. The iPhone now offers lead conversion on a single form, which you can access from a button on the lead record.
- More Objects: Contact Roles, Opportunity-Products, and Case-Solutions are now available. Add these objects to the dataset of your mobile configuration in the Mobile Admin Console.
- Log Out: If you are concerned about data security, you can now lock Salesforce Mobile before you walk into a customer meeting. Just go to the App Info tab and tap on the Log Out button.
- Tighter integration with Visualforce and Web tabs: Create custom mobile links on object: you can link from an Account to a Yahoo news site with the latest news about a company, or link to a custom Visualforce page to show all related contacts and their images.
