    Jason McDowall Oct 30, 2009

What bug fixes are included in Windows Mobile v10.0.3?

    • New Branding - We love the new cloud icon. (included in v10.0.2)
      Icon_salesforce_80x80_smBorder
    • Edit layout showed non-updateable fields - In prior versions of the application, the edit view for a record would show fields marked as "creatable" even when the field may not be "editable".  This fix ensures only fields that are marked as "editable" are shown when editing a record. (included in v10.0.2)
    • Change Owner not working - In prior versions of the application, the Change Owner functionality was not working.  This has been fixed.

    Pierpaolo Bergamo Mar 12, 2009

What bug fixes are included in Windows Mobile v10.0.1?

    • Offline Creation of Records and Related Records - In prior versions of the application, the synchronization process may not have worked properly when users created child records of a temporary record while offline. The latest version of the client does not allow users to create child records of a temporary record. Users must wait until the device synchronizes with Salesforce and the record is saved.
    • Picklists on Treo 800w - Picklists exhibited incorrect behavior on the Palm Treo 800w. It is fixed in the latest version of the client.

  • Salesforce CRM Mobile v10.0 for Windows Mobile is now available for download!

    Pierpaolo Bergamo Feb 3, 2009

Spring '09 brings new features and restyled user interface on Windows Mobile!

With Spring '09, the Windows Mobile client arrives at the v10 milestone and provides a much better user experience for detail pages. Let's have a look at the top two user interface changes:

    Wm_rel_list_3

    • The related items are now on the detail page, just like on the Salesforce website! It's quicker to access and easier to find!
    • The labels of the fields and the data are now 'center-aligned' for easier reading.

    What are the other features?

    • Related Records Search ('Find More' Button) - On a standard mobile device, users may not have all the items related to a particular record. The Related Records Search feature for Windows Mobile lets users find related records with a Find More button. After the user clicks the button, the client retrieves the full list of related records available on the server. Users can then select any of these records and see them on the mobile device.
    • Contact Roles - Streamlines the process of identifying key stakeholders in opportunity and account records. Instead of sifting through the details of a record, the Contact Roles feature displays a related list of relevant contacts and their roles. A single click on the contact’s name reveals key information and click-to-call or email capabilities. This feature is especially
helpful when you’re trying to look up information on the go.
Note: This feature must be enabled by the administrator.

  • Salesforce Mobile for Windows Mobile client v9.1.4 is available for download!

    Pierpaolo Bergamo Nov 13, 2008

What bug fixes are included in Windows Mobile v9.1.4?

    • Activity History and Open Activities - Completed Activities were not being shown in 'Activity History'.  Instead the 'Open Activity' list showed all open and closed Activities. The latest build provides the expected behavior.
    • Products and Opportunities - In specific conditions, adding a Product to an Opportunity may have failed. The latest build fixes the issue.
    • Custom Views and Task Date Fields - The Date of a Task was not displayed properly in custom views. Version 9.1.4 displays the views properly.
    • Dates, Times, and Device Settings - Dates and times did not respect the display format of the mobile device. Now the application obeys the device display settings configured by the user.

  • Salesforce Mobile for Windows Mobile Client v9.1.3 is Available for download

    Pierpaolo Bergamo Oct 29, 2008

What bug fixes are included in Windows Mobile v9.1.3?

    • Custom Views and Event Date Fields - Custom views displaying the date of an event did not work properly. Version 9.1.3 shows the view properly.
    • Dates, Times, and Device Settings - Dates and times did not respect the display format of the mobile device. Now the application obeys the display settings configured by the user.
    • Opportunities and Dependent Picklists - Dependent picklists created with the Stage field as the controller field in an opportunity prevented the record from being saved. This works properly on the latest version of the client.

  • Salesforce Mobile for Windows Mobile client v9.1.2 is available for download

    Pierpaolo Bergamo Oct 9, 2008

What are the bug fixes included Windows Mobile v9.1.2?

    • Custom Views and Date/Time Fields - Custom Views were working incorrectly when a filter was applied on a Date/Time field. Version 9.1.2 applies the filter and renders the list properly.
    • Record Types not Automatically Selected - In locales different from USA/UK and English in general, the user was forced to select a record type during record creation, even when only one record type was available for the user. Version 9.1.2 fixes this issue.
    • Unexpected De-activation - In rare conditions and only during updates, Salesforce Mobile de-activated the device, requiring another activation. No un-synchronized data loss occurred. Version 9.1.2 prevents this from happening.

Salesforce Mobile now supports the Samsung BlackJack II

BlackJack II is now a supported device! It is the second officially supported Windows Mobile device of the 'no touchscreen' kind.

What are the performance improvements in Windows Mobile v9.1.1?

    • Home Tab - Dramatically reduced the time for displaying the Recent Items.
    • Large Text Areas - Made the time for displaying the Large Text Areas much more consistent.
    • Detail Screen - Drastically decreased the display time for the Detail Screen.

What are the bug fixes included Windows Mobile v9.1.1?

    • Duplicated Records - In specific conditions, the device showed two copies of the same record. This is now fixed.
    • Custom Views and Date Filters - The Filters in Custom Views built on date tokens weren't working properly.  This latest version fixes the problem.
    • Product / PriceBook and Currency - When a Product is being associated with an Opportunity, now the list of PriceBook entries displays only those records for which the currency matches the currency of the Opportunity.
    • Events, Time Zone and Edit - There was some erroneous behavior when editing an Event in a different Time Zone.  This is now fixed.
    • Inactive and Active Users - In the previous version, the list of users displayed for re-assigning records ("Change Owner", etc) included all the users available on the device.  This version displays only the active users.
    • Records Rejected from the Server - The "Retry/Cancel" window (displayed when a record is rejected, e.g., when the record cannot be saved because of the validation rules) has been re-implemented in a more user-friendly fashion.
