  • Custom content and offers tab for your listing now live!

    Clara Shih Oct 17, 2007

Many of you have been asking for the ability to upload or link to your own custom offers and content. As of today, you can! It takes just a few minutes.

Step 1. Log-in to the publisher's admin console and click on [ Custom Offers ]

    1

Step 2.  This pops open a window in which you can link to up to four case studies, testimonials, webinars, and/or whitepapers. We decided to let you link rather than upload to make it easier for version management and updates of your content.

    2

And that's it! The custom content you entered instantly appears on the "Offers" tab of your app listing page.

This special functionality is open to any AppExchange app listing this month, and starting next month will be limited to those apps enrolled in our new web leads program. I look forward to seeing many of you take advantage of this special new feature. Please keep the suggestions coming on the Partner IdeaExchange!

  • Update to Web lead naming convention

    Clara Shih Sep 21, 2007

By popular demand, we have annotated all Web leads from AppExchange.com with "SFDC" at the beginning. eg, SFDC-TD|YourAppName for a test drive lead.

The web codes that follow "SFDC" remain the same: (See previous post)

You may want to double check that any lead routing rules you put in place still function properly following this change. Thanks again for all the great feedback. Please keep your ideas coming at the Partner IdeaExchange!

  • Deciphering Web Lead Codes

    Clara Shih Sep 6, 2007

The web leads you receive are annotated with a two-letter code at the beginning to indicate the lead source. Here are what the codes mean:

    • IN = Get it Now
    • DM = Demo
    • TD = Test Drive
    • DP = Contact Me (clicked from app Detail Page)
    • LM = Learn More
    • DL = Download

Plus this, being phased out this month:

    • GN = Contact Me (Salesforce Non-Admin User, clicked from Get it Now)

  • New lead-passing functionality: how it works

    Clara Shih Aug 9, 2007

We received some questions during this morning's webinar about how the new lead-passing functionality we are rolling out later this month will work. Here are the details:

    1

In order to start taking advantage of this immediately, there are two things partners need to do (if you haven't already):

    1. Upload your logo and lead form banner graphic
    Log-in to AppExchange Admin Console
Click the [Logo] link for each of your apps
Upload each size—new: 728 x 90 size for lead form!

    2

    2. Enable Web-to-Lead in your Salesforce org
In your org, click  Setup | Customize | Leads | Web-to-Lead
    Follow instructions on screen
