This week's app of the week is the Thunderbird Mail Connector.   This solution was developed by a customer and allows you to add selected inbound or outbound Thunderbird emails to a contact's activities in Salesforce CRM.   Additionally, you can associate an email with the appropriate account, opportunity, asset, campaign or case.

While there hasn't been a lot of customer feedback on the solution yet as it is brand new, this was one of the most highly requested apps on IdeaExchange:
